An urban legend:

At the University of Applied Arts the first task of the first year students was to design an ashtray. If the ashes or the cigarette butt could fall out of the ashtray or the ashtray itself could not hold more than one cigarettes or cigars, the teachers said:

„This is not an ashtray, this is just an artistic three dimensional object”

Our aim is to design functional, sustainable, durable buildings, not just “artistic three dimensional objects” while we never forget that we should return the world we borrowed from our children as an attractive place to live on.
